St Joseph's Breakfast & After School Club

Hazelgrove Road, England, RH16 3PQ.

We operate high quality, fun-filled Term Time Breakfast and After School Clubs at the St Joseph's.

Rise then Shine Breakfast Club and Stay and Play After School Clubs are available for pupils attending St Joseph's Catholic Primary Academy and Warden Park Primary School.

Children benefit from a safe and familiar school setting, helping them settle quickly into their surroundings and chosen activity.

We are based in the two school halls, which allows us to lead large or smaller group sessions, whatever the weather.

We set up a dining area in the hall, enabling the children to all eat together sociably.

The children enjoy the fantastic outdoor playground and field, where we’re able to operate our supervised games and activities, promoting collaboration, teamwork, and fun! Our closest Holiday HQ Camps are located at Harlands Primary School and Lindfield Community Primary Academy.

With options for booking on a regular or ad-hoc basis – we’re here, as much or as little as you need us.

We have limited places available and would encourage you to book now to secure your child’s place.

Robert

Club Manager

Hello, I am the Breakfast and After School Club Manager at St Joseph’s Primary School in Haywards Heath. I am a qualified teacher with 8 years experience, teaching Reception and Year One.

I have also worked as a Senior Activity Leader at Harlands and Lindfield Pioneer Clubs.

During my time with Pioneer Childcare I have obtained my Paediatric First Aid certificate and receive regular training in Safeguarding.

I enjoy the creative aspects of working with the children the most, particularly Arts and Crafts. I have a degree in music and plan to include more use of music in club activities in future.

Our activities

Our activities:

  • Seven fun-filled adventure categories, designed for all ages and interests.
  • Promotes fun, curiosity and mindfulness in an entertaining and welcoming environment.
  • Create lifelong friendships over exciting adventures beyond the classroom.
  • Children choose how to spend their mornings and afternoons.

“Children enjoy a variety of well-planned activities. They choose between working with friends to build with construction bricks and drawing and cutting at the craft table. Staff sit alongside children, giving them gentle encouragement and praise for trying to do things for themselves."

Tina Lambert, Ofsted Inspector
Stanford Club, February 2023

“All children benefit from the social interactions between different age groups. Children who are new to the infant school and older children in the junior school play collaboratively together. For instance, they sit and do puzzles together and invite one another to join in group games. This supports older children to take responsibility and assists younger children in their confidence and self-esteem."

Tina Lambert, Ofsted Inspector
Stanford Club, February 2023

“Staff conscientiously get to know the children that they care for. They sit alongside the children and ask them about the activities that they have been doing at school. Children and staff have strong bonds, which enables children to talk freely about things that interest them. As a result, children feel valued and listened to."
