Meet The Southover Club Manager

Graham

Club Manager

Hello, My name is Graham and I am the Pioneer Club Manager at Southover Primary School.
I joined Pioneer in January 2023 after 16 years as a primary school teacher working in various schools in Dorset and Sussex. I hold current certificates in First Aid, Food Safety, and Safeguarding.

In my own time, I enjoy keeping fit and I like to see the children at the after school club joining in different games and having fun.

I also make sculptures and art out of driftwood so I also like to plan art and craft activities that get the children’s imaginations firing.

Our activities

Our activities:

  • Seven fun-filled adventure categories, designed for all ages and interests.
  • Promotes fun, curiosity and mindfulness in an entertaining and welcoming environment.
  • Create lifelong friendships over exciting adventures beyond the classroom.
  • Children choose how to spend their mornings and afternoons.

“Children enjoy a variety of well-planned activities. They choose between working with friends to build with construction bricks and drawing and cutting at the craft table. Staff sit alongside children, giving them gentle encouragement and praise for trying to do things for themselves."

Tina Lambert, Ofsted Inspector
Stanford Club, February 2023

“All children benefit from the social interactions between different age groups. Children who are new to the infant school and older children in the junior school play collaboratively together. For instance, they sit and do puzzles together and invite one another to join in group games. This supports older children to take responsibility and assists younger children in their confidence and self-esteem."

Tina Lambert, Ofsted Inspector
Stanford Club, February 2023

“Staff conscientiously get to know the children that they care for. They sit alongside the children and ask them about the activities that they have been doing at school. Children and staff have strong bonds, which enables children to talk freely about things that interest them. As a result, children feel valued and listened to."
