Lindfield Breakfast, After School Clubs & Holiday Camps

School Lane, Lindfield, England, RH16 2DX.

We operate high quality, fun-filled Term Time Clubs and Holiday Camps at the school.

Breakfast Club and After School Club are available for pupils attending Lindfield Primary Academy only.

Lindfield Holiday Camps run in every school holiday and any primary school aged children are welcome to attend.

Children benefit from a safe and familiar school setting, helping them settle quickly into their surroundings and chosen activity.

Indoor facilities include the Community Room, the William Allen Hall and spaces around the hall.

The dedicated spaces allow us to lead large or smaller group sessions, whatever the weather.

We set up a dining area in the hall, enabling the children to all eat together sociably.

The children enjoy the fantastic outdoor playground areas and field, where we’re able to operate our supervised games and activities, promoting collaboration, teamwork, and fun!

After School Club

We offer fun, happy, safe places for children to play together after a busy school day.

Our experienced, friendly staff led sessions, provide an energising, enjoyable extension to the school day, which encompasses the Pioneer Values and characters. They’ll have fun getting to know, Spike, Matilda, Henry, and the gang with lots of fun and engaging activities. The children can choose from fun games, planned activities, sports and free play sessions throughout the afternoon.

All children have a freshly prepared High Tea together – a real social highlight of every afternoon.

Activity Camps

Holiday Camp Benefits
Every holiday camp at Lindfield offers a daily mix of Sports, Group Challenges, Arts and Performance activities. Children are encouraged to take part in all activities at a level they are comfortable with.
Each holiday follows a popular children’s theme, giving the organised activities a focus and ensuring every day is different!

Click here to see our upcoming Holiday Camp Activity Calendar.

Weather and season dependent, we’ll be outdoors as much as possible. Please bring appropriate cold and wet weather clothing, and in warmer weather please remember to put suncream and a hat on before dropping your child/ren.

They’ll need to bring a refillable water bottle, two snacks and packed lunch.
NB: No nuts or sesame seed allowed.

HAF (Holiday Activities & Food) Holiday Camps
We’re proud to be part of the government-funded HAF programme in the Summer, Christmas and Easter School Holidays. All food and activities are provided free of charge when booked via the HAF Programme.
All children participate in the Holiday Camp activities together.

Please visit West Sussex County Council’s website for the latest eligibility criteria, dates and to book your child’s place at camp.

Meet The Lindfield Club Manager

Sam

Head of Education & Welfare

Hello, my name is Sam and I’m the Head of Education and Welfare at Lindfield Breakfast and After School Club. I joined the Pioneer team in September 2022.
Since joining Pioneer Childcare I’ve completed training in Safeguarding, Food Hygiene and Allergen Awareness. I am also trained in First Aid.

Although I hadn’t worked at Pioneer before being made Club Manager, my previous role at an international college meant I’ve got a wealth of experience in leading sports activities with children and young people.

My favourite activity to run at club is Sports, because I love to see the children being active and playing sports because it’s healthy for them and a lot of fun!

Our activities

Daily activities include:
• Group Challenges designed to help the children work as a team and build their confidence.
• Sports Activities getting everyone moving, with an opportunity to learn some new skills and have fun!
• Arts & Crafts offer a dedicated space in the day for some calmer and creative time
• Performance Activities incorporate a wide range of fun exercises to allow children to express themselves amongst friends.
• Free Play for all children to spend some quality time friends old and new!

“Children enjoy a variety of well-planned activities. They choose between working with friends to build with construction bricks and drawing and cutting at the craft table. Staff sit alongside children, giving them gentle encouragement and praise for trying to do things for themselves."

Tina Lambert, Ofsted Inspector
Stanford Club, February 2023

“All children benefit from the social interactions between different age groups. Children who are new to the infant school and older children in the junior school play collaboratively together. For instance, they sit and do puzzles together and invite one another to join in group games. This supports older children to take responsibility and assists younger children in their confidence and self-esteem."

Tina Lambert, Ofsted Inspector
Stanford Club, February 2023

“Staff conscientiously get to know the children that they care for. They sit alongside the children and ask them about the activities that they have been doing at school. Children and staff have strong bonds, which enables children to talk freely about things that interest them. As a result, children feel valued and listened to."
