Halsford Park - Pioneer Childcare
We provide a daily Breakfast Club and After School Club during term time at Halsford Park Primary School.
Our Halsford Park club runs from the large sports hall next to the school’s main entrance, where we are able to set up a separate dining area.
We also make the most of the outdoor playground areas, to run supervised games that promote collaboration, teamwork and fun!
The children choose between a selection of different activities based around sport, games, arts & crafts and free play.
The children all come together for High Tea, where they choose from a selection of freshly prepared sandwiches, bagels, wraps, vegetable crudités & fresh fruit.
During every school holiday, Halsford Park Holiday Activity Camp offers non-stop fun for children aged 4-11 years old.
Every day children participate in a selection popular team sports, group challenges and art activities.
We run from the same familiar space, helping children to settle quickly into their holiday childcare routine.
Our experienced team includes qualified teachers, skilled sports coaches and experienced childcare professionals.
With options for booking on a regular or ad-hoc basis – we’re here, as much or as little as you need us.

Activity Camps
Times & Prices:
- Standard Day 8:30am – 5pm. Session cost £31
- HAF Camp 8:30am – 5pm. Session is FREE for all eligible means-tested pupils in the Easter, Summer and Christmas holidays.
Schools & Transport:
- Activity Camp | Non-Stop Fun & Activities for 4-11 year olds
- The Hub | Activities, Fun & Friends for 9-11 year olds
Food:
- All children will need to bring a refillable water bottle, and a morning and afternoon snack.
- Please provide your child with a pack lunch, or alternatively add a Grab Bag lunch to your booking.
- HAF eligible children will be provided with a FREE nutritious hot lunch.
- A Grab Bag lunch can be booked for £4.50 per day.

Gemma Cosens
Head of Education and Welfare
Hello, my name is Gemma and I’m the Head of Education & Welfare at Halsford Park Breakfast and After School Club. I joined the Pioneer team in October 2022, having previously been a Primary School Teacher.
I hold certificates in First Aid, Food Hygiene and Safeguarding.
My favourite activity to do with the children is Games. It is lovely to see children getting excited and enthusiastic about sports. I enjoy watching the children engage with the games and persevere when they become challenging. It is a great opportunity to develop a competitive attitude, but also how to cope when things don’t get the way we would like.

Our activities
We offer children choice and variety across our range of indoor activities including sport, games and arts & crafts. We enjoy additional access to the playgrounds, field & outdoor areas – meaning we have plenty of room to further extend our range of exciting activities.
