Job Title:                            Childcare Holiday Camp Activity Leader

Salary:                                £6.83 – £11.44/hour

Days:                                   Monday to Friday (mimimum2 shifts per week)

Hours:                                 8.15am – 5pm

Department:                       Childcare

Reporting to:                    Head of Education and Welfare or Club Manager

Location:                           Brighton, Haywards Heath and East Grinstead

Overview:

As an Childcare Holiday Camp Leader you will be part of the team specifically responsible for working at Holiday Camps delivering engaging and fun activities to the children in our care.

Our camps run every school holiday and are full of fun themes, activities, and games – you can even bring your own ideas to share with the children!  You can work as much as you’d like and dovetail this role with other commitments.

You will support children in all aspects of camp, including the delivery of activities, during snack and all breaks, and at transitioning times.   You will ensure that you are an excellent role model and meet the standards expected to deliver our high-quality childcare.

Key features: 

  • Ensure children are happy and engaged in their activities
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of the children
  • Build effective relationships with children and your colleagues
  • To deliver high quality specialist sessions
  • Ensure company policies and procedures are adhered to 

Key tasks and responsibilities: 

Reporting to the Camp Manager, your tasks and responsibilities will include:

  • Actively supporting camp:
  • Ensure children are safe, happy, and secure
  • Work with children of all ages and abilities
  • Lead activities
  • Follow plans and adapt when required
  • Organise children between activities
  • Have clear communication with your colleagues
  • Be a role model for children and younger staff
  • Be aware of staff ratios at all times
