St Wilfrid’s - Pioneer Childcare

Our Breakfast and After School Club is located conveniently on the St Wilfrid’s Primary School site in Burgess Hill, based primarily within the school hall, Rainbow and Gallelli rooms.
Within this setting we are able to create suitable areas to offer a variety of indoor activities including sport, games and arts & crafts.
We enjoy additional access to the playgrounds, large field & outdoor areas – meaning we have plenty of room to further extend our range of exciting activities.

"All children, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities, are warmly welcomed as they arrive at this club.
Children know the routines and quickly settle …Staff show genuine interest and encourage meaningful conversations” Sue Suleyman, Ofsted Inspector at St Wilfrid's, June 2022.

During every school holiday, St Wilfrid's Holiday Activity Camp offers non-stop fun for children aged 4-11 years old. Every day children participate in a selection popular team sports, group challenges and art activities.
We run from the same familiar space, helping children to settle quickly into their holiday childcare routine.

Our experienced team includes qualified teachers, skilled sports coaches and experienced childcare professionals.

Meet The Club Manager

Bridget

Club Manager

Hello, my name is Bridget and I am the Club Manager at our St Wilfrid’s Breakfast and After School Club. Prior to joining the team I worked in a school as a Teaching Assistant. I then worked as a senior activity leader at our Manor Field Club, before becoming Club Manager at Burgess Hill Pioneer Club.

During my time at Pioneer Childcare, I have received training and hold certificates in First Aid, Food Hygiene and Safeguarding.

My favourite activity to run at club is anything creative like arts and crafts. I love to see the children’s own interpretation of the art work and how proud they are of their own creations. I enjoy the messy side, you can’t beat a bit of glitter and paint.

If you would like to discuss anything club-related, please call 07719535233 during club opening hours, and I will be happy to talk to you.

Our activities

We offer children choice and variety across our range of indoor activities including sport, games and arts & crafts. We enjoy additional access to the playgrounds, field & outdoor areas – meaning we have plenty of room to further extend our range of exciting activities. We are constantly monitoring and supporting the children, to ensure everyone has been well fed with a variety of options available to keep the children engaged and enjoying themselves whilst in our care.
